<br>This document discusses how a person can declare JSP online, or with assistance from a Service Officer using Assisted Customer Claim (ACC).<br>
|
||||
<br>JSP eligibility and when to declare<br>
|
||||
<br>Customers must claim as soon as possible online through the Services Australia site.<br>
|
||||
<br>To get approved for JSP an individual need to:<br>
|
||||
<br>- be of certifying age for JSP
|
||||
- satisfy Australian home requirements for JSP
|
||||
- be out of work, and
|
||||
- looking for work and ready to participate in activities that increase their possibilities of discovering a job, or
|
||||
- unable to work, study or search for work due to medical condition, disease or injury, or
|
||||
- employed or studying complete time and are unable to undertake these due to a medical condition, health problem or injury and work or study to return to<br>
|
||||

<br>Disability Support Payment (DSP) sus/can RTW consumers declaring JSP<br>
|
||||
<br>A DSP customer whose payments have been suspended/ cancelled go back to work (RTW) can declare an alternate payment when:<br>
|
||||
<br>- they are still working 30 or more hours each week, and
|
||||
- their earnings falls below the JSP income test cut-off<br>
|
||||
<br>For instance, a self-employed DSP customer is still working 30 hours per week, however their income has actually lowered. See Rates and Thresholds.<br>

<br>Streamlined claims<br>
|
||||

<br>If the consumer resides in a remote location and typically utilizes an agent, Remote Service Centre, or phone to do business and is not able or inappropriate to finish an online claim, the client should be transferred to the Remote Claims Processing (RCP) to begin their ACC.<br>

||||

||||

<br>If a correspondence candidate contacts to declare JSP on behalf of their principal, use an online claim first. If they decrease the online claim offer, a Officer should run Assisted Customer Claim (ACC) with the candidate.<br>
